What are some signs that nursing home neglect and abuse could be occuring?

There are many signs of potential nursing home abuse and potential nursing home neglect. One of the things, if you have a loved one in a nursing home, that you want to be on the look out for is decubitus ulcers. Meaning bed sores. Check their skin. Particularly in the area of the buttocks and the heels as often as you can. Secondly make sure they’re getting proper hydration and proper nutrition. If you visit them and their meals are left in front of them, and not being eaten, or if the pitchers of water is always full but the cup is not, these are signs of potential malnutrition and dehydration. Also be on the look out for unusual bruising, cuts, or any other evidence of potential physical harm.
