Firm Partner Jeffrey Gordon has been nominated for the 2020 Casey Excellence for Children Award – Foster Parent. The award presented by the Casey Family Programs recognizes outstanding individuals and communities for their distinguished work, exceptional leadership, and tireless dedication to improving the lives of children and families in America.
Jeff and his wife Gay have been foster parents since 2010. Since that time, they have fostered 19 children in their home. Jeff also serves on the boards of numerous other organizations dedicated to advocating for and supporting children in the foster care system.
Recently, Jeff was elected to serve as the first Chairman of the Advisory Board for Champions Empowering Champions, an organization that supports foster youth who are now students at FAU. Jeff is also Chairman of the Advisory Board for Kids in Distress Palm Beach County. He is an active member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Foster Children and American Association of Caregiving Youth. Jeff is also a Board member of Foster Advocacy Movement, and Florida Legal Aid Society, where he is involved in the Foster Children’s Project.
