Congratulations to Jennifer Lesser on being sworn in for a second term as President and Board Chair of Alpert Jewish Family Service, continuing her leadership alongside an incredible team of dedicated professionals and community leaders committed to making a meaningful impact across our community.
This past year marked a record year for Alpert JFS, which provided critical support and services to more than 12,000 individuals and families throughout Palm Beach County. From mental health care and financial assistance to programs supporting seniors, Holocaust survivors, families in crisis and individuals with disabilities, the organization continues to expand its reach and strengthen lives in our community.
We also want to recognize and congratulate Arlene Kline, recipient of the agency’s Award of Distinction, honoring her outstanding leadership and commitment to providing pro bono legal services to the agency and those it serves.
We are proud to celebrate the leaders helping drive this important mission forward.

Alpert Jewish Family Service Celebrates Record Year of Impact

For Alpert Jewish Family Service (Alpert JFS), this past year was one to celebrate. The year was marked by significant growth as the organization provided services to more than 12,000 individuals and families across the region.
Alpert JFS provides mental health care, financial assistance, and support services to vulnerable populations like seniors, Holocaust survivors, families in crisis and individuals with disabilities. This past year, the agency expanded their mental health services fund, enhanced programs across Palm Beach County, grew programming within Melvin J. & Claire Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service (Levine JRFS), including the Apartment Program and Center for Belonging and Wellbeing, and raised more than $722,000 through the annual No Excuse for Abuse event, which drew a record-setting crowd of nearly 500 supporters.
The meeting also honored leaders in the community, including a future leader award given to Tali Shear and a lifetime achievement award given to Carolyn Gleimer Silbey. Recognition was also awarded to members of the Holocaust Advisory Committee, including Jack Abramowitz, Mary Eckstein, Collette Herman, Simone Kaufman, Kurt Leuchter, Alexander Metzger and Charlotte Plotsky.
“We are seeing growing demand across every aspect of our work, and in many cases, needs are becoming more complex and urgent,” said Dr. Reuben Romirowsky, CEO of Alpert Jewish Family Service. “Organizations like ours are not optional; they are essential to ensuring that individuals and families have somewhere to turn when they need help most.”
