At Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, giving back to the community is a cornerstone of our culture. When our founder Joseph Lesser laid the foundation of this firm nearly a century ago, he established a tradition where professional excellence and community service go hand in hand. Today, we continue to honor that legacy by supporting civic and charitable organizations that make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives they touch.
For our January Sponsorship Spotlight, we are proud to feature our long-standing partnership with the Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service (Alpert JFS), a non-profit that’s mission is to strengthen our entire community by empowering individuals and families through the delivery of comprehensive human services.
This partnership is personal. Managing Partner Gary Lesser and his wife Jennifer were honored to receive the organization’s Inaugural Luminary Award for their many years of service to the non-profit. In addition, Jennifer currently serves as the Board Chair, guiding the agency as it expands its reach to help even more families in Palm Beach County.
While Alpert JFS is rooted in Jewish values, it is a non-sectarian organization that serves everyone in our community, regardless of faith or background. We support them because they provide a comprehensive continuum of care that changes lives daily.
Here is a look at the critical services they provide:
- Mental Health Services: Providing counseling, psychiatry, and support groups for children, adults and seniors navigating trauma, anxiety and depression.
- Senior Care: Offering care management and guardianship, as well as a specialized Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program that ensures aging survivors live with dignity.
- Domestic Abuse Support: Delivering safety planning, advocacy, and counseling to victims of domestic violence.
- Mentoring 4 Kids: A program that pairs children who have lost a meaningful caregiver with positive adult role models.
We are honored to continue our support of Alpert JFS. Whether through board leadership, event sponsorship or advocacy, Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel remains dedicated to ensuring this vital organization has the resources it needs to keep our community strong.
