Managing Partner Gary Lesser and the team at Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel were honored to receive the Community Caregiver Award from the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) during a brunch held at Broken Sound Country Club on November 18.
The prestigious award recognizes the firm’s commitment to supporting AACY’s mission to provide support for youth under the age of 18 who act as caregivers for chronically ill, injured, elderly, or disabled family members. The vital work being done by Dr. Connie Siskowski and the AACY team is unparalleled, providing programs and resources to caregiving youth and their families throughout Palm Beach County.

Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel extends its congratulations to fellow honorees Pamela Higer-Polani, Esq. and Superintendent Michael Burke for their exceptional contributions to ACCY and the community. The firm also recognizes and thanks Firm Partner Jeffrey Gordon, who serves as Vice Chair on AACY’s Board of Directors.
As the only program of its kind in the United States, AACY has provided support to over 2,500 caregiving youth and their families. Through a partnership with the School District of Palm Beach County, AACY offers programs in 45 middle and high schools. The organization boasts an impressive 10-year high school graduation rate of 98.3%, with most graduates pursuing post-secondary education, often in healthcare fields.
